The new color of the year!
Pantone announced last week it’s color of the year for 2013! Every year I get so excited to hear what it is, and every year I’m so NOT SURPRISED. Talk about following fashion and interior design trends…
We’ve been seeing emerald green all over the red carpet…
And the runways….
It didn’t take long for me to find LOTS of different fashion items at my favorite stores… JCrew, Anthropologie, Banana, Nordstroms…
Obviously its been hot in interior design as well….
So what do you think? Will you be buying emerald green this holiday season? It’s fun to see rich colors coming back in style, makes your day a little bit brighter 🙂

Love this idea for a front door. Instead of having a door with sidelights, which are impossible to cover for privacy, have actual windows on each side that can have window treatments!
LOVE this… rustic distressed dining table with a glitzy chandelier over… so fun!
Now this is something I haven’t seen before… wood floor tiles! Interesting idea…
Another one of those, glad I didn’t see this when I was planning my wedding photos… this would have fit right in!

Thanksgiving Tablescapes
Well, it’s the week of Thanksgiving, and I’m still wondering where September and October went. Feeling the need to be inspired, I thought I would share with you some different tablescape ideas for your Thanksgiving table.
A very traditional table setup… love these chargers!

And how about buffet setups? I know with big families a lot of people opt to do a buffet. Here are some cute designs to dress up the food table…
Using pumpkins is an inexpensive way to add drama to the table. The size can fill spaces nicely and help to showcase the food.

With some leaves, a chalk board and candle light, you can get a quick and easy tablescape that looks like you worked for hours!
And finally, almost every Thanksgiving I’ve ever been to there has been a “kid’s table”. How about make your “kid’s table” fun and give them something to do to entertain themselves so mom and dad can have a nice relaxing meal?

What a great idea! Use the paper as a tablecloth and give the kids crayons and markers to draw and decorate while they are eating!
